Best position function

Hello there.

We use the below (scaled down) code to generate a staff signature, which details a person's position and our website address, on a themed background.

This works fine, but it is causing some problems when someone has more than one position, as it loops these together.

The aim is for only one position to be shown, and that position to be the 'Best position' they have.

For example..., the two positions I included in the below code are AJ and NJ. For this example, AJ exceeds NJ and is a better position. If a person belonged to both groups, instead of listing both, it should just display the AJ position as that's the highest.

We have quite a few positions but I just included two to scale down the code.

Any idea how I can make it do the above? Thanks!

How do you store the fact that AJ is a higher position than NJ? What is the relevant database schema, and the relationship between the user and groups tables?

The ID 1 is the highest position, 2 is the next highest and so on

The user database merely has a 0 or 1 in the relevant 'aj' or 'nj' field to say whether they're a member or not
