[RESOLVED] split a variable into two vars

I have a variable that is a range 15-19. I need to split the two numbers into individual variables. One way I think is to get the first two characters and the laast two. The problem, however, if my hange will start with a single digit 5-15. Kinda stuck... Any suggestions?

What do you mean? A variable cannot be a range. It must hold a value, and this value can be within a range.

Well, currently I have:

$range = '5-15';

I need to get

$rangeFrom = 5;
$rangeTo = 15;

Oh, in that case [man]explode/man is what you should use.

list($rangeFrom, $rangeTo) = explode('-', $range);

Not all the time. I actually gave explode($range) instead of explode('-', $range) for the example, but changed it soon after :p
