how can you use echo on a table query output?

hi guys.... how can you use echo on a table query output?

example.....
<?
echo 'Start Date: ' .$tim.' 'Title: ' .$title. 'End Date: ' .$date.
?>

<h2>Sample:</h2>
<table border="0">
<tr>
<td>Title: </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Start Date: </td>
<td>End Date: </td>
</tr>
</table>

hopefully its understandble... I'm kind of new to PHP...

assuming your talking about getting the data from a db

if you look up the following in the manual you will be well on your way:

mysql_connect
mysql_query
mysql_fetch_array

From what i understand your tring to put the echo into the table?

If not ignore me.

Actually it was your post sheephat. I kept getting a line code error before.

I guess I was actually putting even the table format inside the echo, hehehe.

I'm such a noob at this, I mean.... I have VB background, but PHP seems a lil bit more complicated to program compared to VB.

But it was your posts that helped me, I already did the my sql connect, my sql query and all that, I just wanted the output to be more organized and in table type format cos I want to be able to print out the result in a nice looking format.

I even bought a book to help me out a lil bit more. But I will still come here if I have more questions that my book(s) can't tell me.
