two tables one query

I know there alot of example on here, but none I can figure out.

I have 2 tables, only thing simular in each table is a userid, one is userid and other is id

Only things concerned about are these.

First table winners has
userid
amount
placed
closedate

Other table members has
id
website

Basically here is what I need
if userid and id match
if webiste =0
if placed = 1
and closedate = today

then do an update on the winners table

can anyone help me out here please.
