how to find a user is online in local intranet thru php

I want to know how to find a user is in online or not in the local intranet with php.

we have any default functions or if u have any idea plz.. guide me..

I remember answering this recently, so you probably could have searched the forum for ideas. The basic idea is that if the user has had a page load (or performed some action that can be logged by the script) recently and has not logged out, you can assume that the user is online.

I am asking how to find the user logged in our network and not to any project or software.
