Need Help With Some Code

hello, my name is Kevin, and I have been working on my own site, but I need some help with PHP. I know HTML and CSS pretty well, but I want to learn PHP and MySQL.
ok, what I would like help with, is writing a script, or downloading a script, that would allow me to have visitors of my site be able to add links to websites they like. Maybe even a space for comments or a description. I would like it stored either in MySQL database, or in a text file, or even XML if possible. Any help would be great, thanks in advance for anybodys time. 🙂

You should look for tutorials, on www.w3schools.com they have lots of good tutorials. When you have learned the basics you should be able to design everything, and then start to program. If you encounter some specific problem please ask about that.

I actually went to my local bookstore and got a copy of "SAMS Teach Yourself: PHP, MySQL, and Apache" it was only like 10 bucks and it is pretty easy to follow. Thanks for your tips, I will probably be back on here to get help if I get stuck. But thank you all, you are all real nice.

Good luck with the learning. Something you might want to do while going through the book and working on the examples is to read applicable sections of the online PHP manual, in order to get used to how it is written, plus to see the latest and greatest notes about the functions you are using. The main page is at http://www.php.net/manual/en/index.php, and you can look up any specific function by simply typing the web host URL followed by the function name, e.g.: http://www.php.net/echo.
