did I do this right?

hi, I'm new to this.
I installed php but don't know if i did it right because its not working.
I think it has something to do with the web server configurations, I'm trying to get it to work with apache 2.0. Is "C:\program files\Apache Software Foundation\apache2.0\conf" the right configuration file? or do I half to go deeper?
if that right dos anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
btw i'm running windows xp home with all the recent updates and am tring to install php5.2.3.

Well.. that sounds like the default folder (the file would be httpd.conf inside that folder).

Nope. At least, I'm assuming no one here can examine your config files and see how you tried to install PHP.

there is a httpd.txt in there and a httpd.conf.bak in there, theres also a folder called default in there that has httpd.txt in it.

There should be a httpd.conf file in "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.0\conf". There should not be httpd.txt
