EMail to Database Help

I am looking for a PHP solution that would connect to a POP3/IMAP server, retrieve mail messages, parse the mail messages (incl. attachments), store attachments to the filesystem, then store the "email" to a MySQL database.

I've gotten as far as connecting to a POP3 server and displaying the messages, but I am having a difficult time wrapping my brain around the next steps.

If anyone could provide advise, or point me in the correct direction...

Are you still trying to do this? I'm doing something kinda simliar. Maybe we can collaborate on something.

I'm no PHP pro, but I've gotten my system to pull e-mail and parse, and I know my basics with mySQL.
