[RESOLVED] IIS problems; PHP files seemingly not parsed

Hello guys,
My first post here, so first of all, hi to you all!

I have recently setup a server here to work with. It is using Windows 2003 Server with IIS. I recently downloaded PHP 5 (5.2.3) and installed it (ISAPI installation) (using the .MSI installer).

After that, i followed bradgrafelman's troubleshooting guide because I followed some guides previously. Still, I am left with a problem I haven't seen before and I am not quite sure what it is caused by. Here are the facts:

• I can easily see .html files etc.
• When I try to see a php file, it just renders a blank page. If the file has the extention .php, nothing is rendered. Even if i have no php code inside and just pure html, it still isn't rendered.
• I have followed all steps in bradgrafelman's guide. Home Directory settings, Web Extentions, ISAPI filter, Execute Permissions, Mappings
• I have restarted the IIS service several times and rebooted the server, too.

I am puzzled as to the cause of this problem and I hope you can help me solve this problem.

Hi!

I have an suggestion for you: why don't you try to use EasyPhp as log as you need a testing web server .
You can download it from here: http://www.easyphp.org/telechargements.php3

It's free. I suggest to use version 1.8 because it's stable.

Apparently, after having struggled with the ISAPI installation for hours, I discovered the fast and easy solution is to simply uninstall and then re-install with CGI. After setting IIS up for the whole thing, re-configuring the .INI file and restarting IIS, everything works now.

Thank you for your suggestion, but it won't become necessary now 🙂
