I'm playing with a test server I just built (CentOS 5.) I've installed Jailkit and have been playing around a bit with a few different things, and I've got a question to kick around:
Is there a simple way to lock users into their home directory and only allow them to run the built-in bash commands, and a list of executables?
It seems like I can do it with Jailkit, but it just feels like there must be a simpler way - jailkit feels like too much for something this simple. I just need the users to be able to ssh with putty, and then be able to perform simple actions - file management, etc - and a few utilities that I want them to be able to run (rhapsody, lynx, wget, vi, etc.) Is there a way to do this that is simpler than jailkit?
