Help Me Please

Hello unfortunately i'm a complete newbie to PHP and all aspects of coding so please be polite and try not to get frustrated with my lack of PHP knowledge🙂 . Anyway i have downloaded notebook++ and have started to right a few codes and find out what some variables and statements mean but what i really want to know how to do is make them work i have seen in multiple tutorials were people are writing there codes in a program like say notebook++ then there codes are translating on a blank web page like the program is connected to a source. If this is the case i need and want to know how to do that as i need to know if my codes work etc

If i sound like a complete head case and you don't have a clue what I'm talking about i could show you some videos on you tube of what i need to do but i will only post them if relivent

I wouldn't touch this question of yours with a infinite-length stick.

Let's say that that stick of mine broke, and that I know what you are talking about, then hypothetically this is what you would have heard:

To run PHP code you need to have access to computer that has 1) some form of server software installed (like Apache or MS IIS (or whatever it's called), 2) and PHP.

Search for install PHP, and/or Apache. Try this forum, you are bound to find something of interest...

You could also try to sign up with a web server that supports PHP, all you need to do then is to upload your files to your web space and run you code.

You'd be better off purchasing a beginner PHP book and learning how to program. Go to Amazon and type in PHP and look at the beginning PHP books that come up. Choose two of them and then read away.

Yes, but with my hypothetically approach there wouldn't theoretically need to be any reading involved -- I for example learnt PHP by clicking frantically on anything that could be highlighting.
