Does anyone know what it is? I haven't been able to get a clear definition as to what it does and how it relates to PHP 4.
My reason for asking is that I'm going to be working on a CMS that requires the server to run PHP 4 with GD 2.0.
The GD library is used for image manipulation (e.g., to create a CAPTCHA to deter spammers to your CMS). Read the PHP manual concerning the image functions.
