Choosing Images

I have a web site where users can upload their own image. I am thinking of letting them choose from a selection of our own images. Has anyone got any examples or ideas that you think would be best here?

I still want them to be able to upload their own or if they don't have one they upload one of ours.

Any help here guys would be great!

Maybe some code where a drop down of images is shown or similar

You could put all images in a dir.
Then on an 'image-selection' page just look through the dir showing images in a form with a checkbox next to it allowing to chose one. Then another option for them to upload on.

You could do a dropdown containing images but that will have to be JavaScript as HTML cannot do that.
