[RESOLVED] bbcode to get session data possible?

Im not sure if this is possible but on my social network we have a bulletin board system where users can post bulletins/message that everyone on there friendlist can view, im looking for a way for a user to input someting like

[userid]
[name]

And then when a user reads this bulletin it will show there userid and name of the person viewing

So if John posted a bulletin with "Hi [name]" code in it, then when I view it, it would show "Hi Jason"

Im lost as if this is even possible, i have never seen it done but I think it's a good idea if I can figure it out

I was thinking something like this would work but the output is not parsed as php

so when I post [name] then read bulletin it shows $bname

is it just a typo

$banme = $_SESSION['disp_name']; // users session name

should be

$bname = $_SESSION['disp_name']; // users session name

yeah already corrected that but now it outputs $_SESSION['disp_name'] as text instead of parsing it as php

when is ran this on Localhost as

It did develop a different session on each page refresh
