[RESOLVED] Number Formatting

Im pulling information from an xml file tha returns the time formatted like this 161322, how would i format the result like this, 16:13:22 ?

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

echo date('H:i:s', $thetime);

I would presume you will be even more tired by the time you realize this will actually output 15:48:41 for your result.

That's because the date doesn't know you are putting in a literal string for the time like that...

What you actually want is to include the strtotime function to convert your literal time string input into a value the date function understands.

echo date('H:i:s', strtotime($thetime));

?>
