Problems with mailing.

I get this message as an email from my script:

Below is a new article. visit

Article
101001

It should say:

Below is a new article visit http://www.godofgod.co.uk/newssub/newsapprove.php?id=1

Article
101001

Why isn't the link appearing? My code is:

$body = "Below is a new article. visit <a herf=\"http://www.godofgod.co.uk/newssub/newsapprove.php?id=" . $id . "\"></a></br></br>" . $article . "</br>" . $General . $Funny . $Help . $Quiz . $Chat . $Game;
mail('[e-mail]',$subject,$body,"From: $email\n");

Welll... how about because the link is empty? You'd need to do something like:

$body = "Below is a new article. visit <a herf=\"http://www.godofgod.co.uk/newssub/newsapprove.php?id=" . $id . "\">http://www.godofgod.co.uk/newssub/newsapprove.php?id=" . $id . "</a></br></br>" . $article . "</br>" . $General . $Funny . $Help . $Quiz . $Chat . $Game;
