Retrieve specific data from another website?

I have a variable that contains an IP address. I want to be able to have it goto a lookup site and return the location and ISP. Right now I just use an inline frame, but would there be anyway to grab the location and ISP from a 3rd party website and put that into a variable that I can display?

Use CURL to contact the 3rd party site, pass them the IP address, they will return a web page that displays all the information. You can re-print the entirety of their response or you can parse through the response looking for just the lines of information that you want to re-display. You will need to use a command like preg_match to find the desired lines in their response.
