Social Bookmarking help

Hi Guys,

I’m trying to dynamically add social bookmarking links to all my pages. Now my pages are formatted like this:

http://www.yz.com/article_chris.php?sec=sport&id=748

and the social bookmarking codes does not seem to like the & operator as it ignores it. And just posts:

http://www.yz.com/article_chris.php?sec=sport

Despite my code looking like this:

<p><a href="http://del.icio.us/post?url=http://www.zy.com/article_chris.php?id=748&amp;section=sport&title=<?php echo $headline; ?>">Share on Del.icio.us</a></p>

So is there any way around this? The only way I can think of it is to change something on the server to make the URL replace & for another character? Is this possible?

Works OK for me. (Running PHP 5, viewed with both FF and IE7.)

Yep. Even tried it both as HTML and XHTML in case either cared that you were inconsistent about using "&" and "&".
