Expanding sidebar, please help!

I'm currently running a php site and have used the "include" function to add my sidebar, so that I only have to update one file and it'll update the sidebar on all pages.

However, I would really like to have an expanding/collapsing sidebar to save space, but have been unable to figure out how to do it while still using the "include" function I currently use. :mad:

Can anyone suggest anything for me please? I have a LOT of pages so I want to continue to use the include so that I don't have to update 100+ pages everytime I add a new link in 😉

include("sidebar.php");

Anything can go here!

Just don't forget that menus usually require something in the <head> of the page as well, so don't forget to put that there 😉

CSS could deal with this

.boxwhatever {background-color:transparent; position: absolute; left: 50% ; top: 25px; margin-left:-385px; width: 770px; height: 14px; overflow:auto}

The overflow:auto attribute takes into account any extras but will give you a scroll box when size is exceeded. Not sure if that would be what you want?
