Who has the best way to get a persons ip address.
I grab a persons ip address when they join my site, but I dont think I am getting it correctly or something else is going on.

A few times I get an ip like this 111.222.333.444, 123.12.123.123
Of course I am not using the real ip address as an example, but do you notice there are 2 seperated by a comma
How is that possible ?

Anyway anyone has the best way to get a persons real ip address please post here.

$ip = isset($SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR']) ? $SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR'] : $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];

Shun X_FORWARDED_FOR, it's added by proxies. You can't trust it, the proxy could write anything there.

REMOTE_ADDR is the only way.
