PHP Coding (please help)

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this. I am looking for some sort of scripting that would enable me to create a database for my website that would act somewhat like a forum, but not. I have a template (which can be explained later) made for the database to access and place data in certain locations, but I don't know any coding or anything like that to get it to work. The data would be derived from a text file located on my site in the same folder as the template. If you think that you would be able to help me, I can give you further details in a PM.

So you want to be able to insert data into a database and then pull it back out and display it on a page? technically it is simple, i.e. use an html form to fill out the data you want to insert, pass it to a script page via POST, dump the data into an INSERT statement. Then on the display page do an SQL SELECT to pul the data back out, and display it with PHP... go buy a book called PHP & MySQL Visual QuickStart by Larry Ullman.

... right, sorry but everything you said is confusing me. Ill go check out that book, not sure if it would do me any good, but ill try. I was really hoping to see if someone would build it for me for a little $, but ill see what I can do. When it comes to programming, im not very good at it.
