I've recently moved to a new webhost. They seem to be good apart from one thing- they haven't got any decent statistics facilities.
With my previous host I used to be able to log onto cpanel and I had a wide variety of stats programs to choose from like Awstats and Webalyzer (sp?), but now all I have is some crumby very basic thing that just shows me a bar graph with number of hits per month... and that's it!
A few weeks ago I could tell you what time people were visiting my website, where they came from, what operating system, what site they were referred from, the number of unique visitors and a whole bunch of other stuff. Now I've lost all that and it's breaking my heart.
I suppose I could attempt to build a stat generating program using PHP but that could take ages and might never be as good as the stat programs I've used in the past. I've tried download.com but all I got there was some dodgy program that didn't install properly.
Does anyone have any advice? I miss my stats.
