[RESOLVED] regex expert anywhere?

Im not even sure if this is possible but I want to make a regualr expression to match

the term myspace event if it had spaces or characters inbetween the letters

so any of the following for example would be match

myspace
m-y-space
m-y-s-p-a-c-e
myspa.c-e

just an example but would match myspace or any variation of it that a user could come up with

I been playing with this and Im trying to add more to it current one is

if(preg_match_all('/m[^a-z]*y[^a-z]*s[^a-z]*p[^a-z]*(a|@)[^a-z]*c[^a-z]*e/i', $text, $matches))


so instead of like every other character im trying to make it count up to 2 characters

example

m12y12s12p12a12c12e

I tried something like this but it didnt work
if(preg_match_all('/m[^a-z]*(y|[^a-z])[^a-z]*s[^a-z]*p[^a-z]*(a|@)[^a-z]*c[^a-z]*e/i', $text, $matches))

May I ask, jasondavis, what you will use this for?
Do you love myspace or hate it so much you try to remove it?
