I have been working through a tutorial that uses simplexml_load_file to handle the rss. It is setup to use rss 0.91 or 1.0
I have a few examples of URLS to work with, but i cannot figure out what to use from sites that have rss feeds in order to add new feeds to my database.
for example this is what I have that works. URL http://slashdot.org/slashdot.rdf http://www.wired.com/news_drop/netcenter/netcenter.rdf http://www.npr.org/rss/rss.php?topicId=1006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/health/rss091.xml http://www.freshmeat.net/backend/fm-releases.rdf http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/feed
Now if i go to other pages to get feeds. Say usatoday.com hokiesports.com cleveland.com
i cannot figure out how to add these to the database that i store the urls in?
Can anyone help me figure this out.
It looks like those sites require some sort of News Reader and that you have to subscribe.
While the other are open and do not require subscription.
