hi, i have been using php mail function to send out emails. but my problem is if i have a gmail or any professional mail id, the mails are sent out, but for private domains like .edu the emails are not delivered, can anyone help me out on this issue
if the problem was they were not being sent, then that is something you can fix. If they are not being delivered however, then you will probably find that the owner of the domain monitors and filters mail on a strict rule base. Your mail is probably being sent to junk mail.
I'd guess kbc1 is right - the Universities you are sending to probably don't want all the users there using the email system for personal correspondence. Have you tried sending to those same .edu domains from a normal email account on your host?
