You quote columns with " or (all other dbs us ", mysql uses unless you've got sql compliance on) Also note that most databases see capitalization as counting when you quote, so if the column is really named Articles-NEWS_TYPE then you'll need to type it exactly like that. MySQL cares about capitalization on linux but not on Windows, if I remember correctly
better yet, don't use dashes in names. underscores are ok though and don't need to be quoted.
