Reversible Encryption

Hi,

I'm using PHP 4 on a Windows 2003 Box and connecting to a MSSQL Database.

I want to store some encrypted text in the database, but then I want to be able to decrypt it when I retrieve if from the database.

Is this possible?

Yes it is possible. Why do you want to? I question your motivation because this is not typically a useful thing to do.

It's not useful because you can more usefully apply encryption at other layers / levels, and you can usually achieve very little (other than obfuscation of your application and associated maintenance problems).
