PHP4 connecting to Access Database

Hello,

I need a little advice, I am trying to figure out if i can connect to a remote MS access database from php4 running on Redhat.

If this is not possible is there any other alternate methods to input data into the access database?

What i am trying to do is grab a bunch of data from the local MYSQL DB and push it to a MS access database running on another server.

Any suggestions would be great.

If it is not a TON of data, you should be able to:

Open a connection to the MySQL database.
Store the data in an array.
Open a connection to the Access database
Insert the data.

Provided both have Intranet/Internet access.

It is a small amount of data but may happen 400 or 500 times a day.

I was under the impresion that i could not connect to a access database from a linux box unless i paid for some open odbc drivers for it?

It's been a while since I used Access (as I converted all my online stuff to MySQL), but I believe you can use either and ADO or OLE connection (not just an ODBC connection).

But as I said... it's been a while.

I will look into both ADO and OLE to see if i can get it setup or not. Do you know if those require a re config of php? We are limited to what we can alter on the box due to policy.
