sorting row results

hey guys,

Quick question, might be a easy answer for most of you but i havent dove into this side of php yet.

I have a repeat region which consists of an image, name and category name. What I want is either a drop down/menu list or a simple link above the gallery to sort by category. Now, it doesnt matter if it only shows the chosen category, or just sorts everything so that category comes up first, im just pulling my hair out from this one.

So, what would I use for the link/menu to sort this repeat region.

SELECT * FROM usr_img WHERE img_cat LIKE 'Kitchens';

this works for when the page loads. but how can i have "Kitchen" category pics show with a link.

Am I correct in saying you want links on like ur top bar for all the categories in table user_img? or just for the kitchens?

correct, fo changing the categories, kitchens being an emample.
