[RESOLVED] Replacing parts of a string by string count

Hi,

I want to display only the last four digits from a credit card number. I can't figure out how to either split or explode the string containing the card number.

i.e.

$str = '4111111111111111';

How do I split or explode it to have access only to the last four digits?

Using the substr function like so:

$str = "4111111111119876";
$last = substr("$str", -4);
echo "$last";

this will print the values "9876" as string.
