[RESOLVED] creating tables

Hi folks,
I need help in creating automated tables... I've tried with 3 columns and one/more rows it doesn't work well.. it just adding the cells one after another...

//this works.. but doesn't have the 2nd box on the bottom...
$x=0;
$c=0;
$box=3;
while($x == 10)
{

if($c==0)
{
echo '<tr>';
}

echo '<td>blah</td>';
$c++;
if($c==$box)
{
echo '<tr>';
$c=0;
}
$x++;
}

How to create tables like I wanted, please take a look at the attachment..

thanks for the reply.. the problem is the code I wrote creates one cell instead of double cells like in the picture I attached... I know how to create one cell based table.. I'm having problem with double cells based duplications... Please view the picture I attached... How to create such table... ?

the best I can think of is if you add a counter to the colums and on every 3'rd multiple add a new row.

Otherwise I dont have much time to rewrite scripts at the moment.

Could you please show a sample code how to do this trick? I've tried myself and it didn't work..

thanks for the reply.. my code does the same trick as the code posted in that topic. There were 2 solutions... both of them seems to create one box(cell) on each column, what I mean is.. I'm trying to create 2 boxes(cells) in every column...

It's like printing out 2 rows of the results from the database.. where X = firstname, Y = lastname.. showing 2 rows per column...

$columns = 3;

[ X1 ] [ X2 ] [ X3 ]
[ Y1 ] [ Y2 ] [ Y3 ]

[ X4 ] [ X5 ] [ X6 ]
[ Y4 ] [ Y5 ] [ Y6 ]

...
