Changing Servers / Relocating DBs

Hello All,

I'm moving some of my sites to a new service and I was hoping for some advice. Some of my site run phpBB, WebCal, and other MySQL-driven functions. I know how to use cPanel to back up the DBs, and can usually rebuild them on the other end using phpMyAdmin.

My problem will be that the server names will have changed and some of the paths. Has anyone successfully done this before who can share some tips and advice? Could you point out any web links with help on moving these specific software:

WebCal
Gallery 2

Most of the software stores paths and db related data in one file (usually called config.php or something simillar) so moving the software would mean copy files and change paths and mysql address in configuration file. I moved phpBB that way.
