[RESOLVED] strtotime & PHP 4.4.7

I've got a question and was hoping someone could offer some assistance.

I've got this simple line in a test file.

echo date("Y-m-d", strtotime("next Monday"));

Here's my results using different versions of PHP:
[INDENT]PHP 4.4.7: 2007-11-04[/INDENT]
[INDENT]PHP 5.1.2: 2007-11-05[/INDENT]
[INDENT]PHP 5.2.3: 2007-11-05[/INDENT]

Todays date is November 03, 2007 (2007-11-03).

Am I missing something.

where's the server at? when u do php time it outputs the time that is set on the server, not on the client side.

thats the only thing i could think of.

I would say output the time as well... might be a configuration change in the timezone setting (ex. new timezone features PHP5 offers that PHP4 never supported).

Someone using OS X ran PHP 4.4.7 and 5.2.0 via CLI and these are there results.

***** (4:45:26 PM): 4.4.7 2007-11-04
***** (4:45:37 PM): 5.2.0 2007-11-05

shrug Perhaps there was a problem with 4.4.7, or maybe the entire 4.4.x branch altogether. I wouldn't worry about it much anyway since PHP4 already has its tombstone made... :p

Here's a real puzzler:

strtotime('10-31-2007')

Returns 12-28-20017

BUT

strtotime('10/31/2007')

strtotime('2007-10-31')

Works fine................It's crap like this that leads to baldness

Eh... I don't have to.... the makers of PHP already did. :p

Seriously though, if your host is forcing you to use software that's out of date and soon to be officially dead, you really should invest your time and money in a competent host.

Btw, here's a quick fix:

$WorkDate = str_replace("-", "/", $PostDate);

Already made a work around, I was really just curious if this was specific to me.

As for server using PHP 4, I'm limited what my client is using. Myself personally I use PHP 5 on all of my servers.
