Hello,

I need help creating a .htaccess file with the RewriteRule. Here is what I'm trying to do:

Take this URL:

http://www.johninteractive.net/url/redirect.vall?id=1

To:

http://www.johninteractive.net/url/1

Where 1 is the id number. I've tried numerous regex paterns but none seem to fit. Can someone please help out? Note that the id number can be greater than ten, so I wasn't sure that [0-9] would only match the numbers 0-9.

I tried this, but it didn't work:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule http://www\.johninteractive\.net/url/redirect\.vall\?id=[0-9]+ http://www.johninteractive.net/url/$1

You're missing the starting and ending delimiters:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^http://www\.johninteractive\.net/url/redirect\.vall\?id=([0-9]+)$ http://www.johinteractive.net/url/$1

You might also think about using RewriteBase in addition to the RewriteRule
