date function

For some reason last week this quit working;

$rangetime1 = date("Y-m-d" , (strtotime($maxdate) + (60*60*24*8)));

Here is what I am noticing, when I print out $maxdate and $rangetime1

2007-11-04
2007-11-11

Some are working correclty like this:

2007-11-04
2007-11-12

Anyone got any idea's why this isn't working.

I suspect you ran into the changeover from daylight savings time. I'd suggest using the following instead of adding seconds, making full use of the power of strtotime():

$rangetime1 = date("Y-m-d" , strtotime("$maxdate + 8 days"));
