I have followed all the instructions for Apache2/PHP5 installation. I have completed all the 'httpd' checks -- all good. I can view a phpinfo script just fine. However, everytime I try to open the 'index.php' file, I receive an error message telling me I do not have permission to load this file.
I know it has to be something very, very simple. But, for the life of me, I cannot seem to get beyond this issue. Obviously, I can read php files correctly in a browser. I know it is not a physical permissions issue, since all the files are 777. I have also googled everything I could think of and have turned up nothing constructive.
Environment: Fedora Core 6/Apache 2.2.6/PHP 5.1.6
Could someone please point me in the right direction? I seem to be lost. Thanks.
