PHP not recognized with include() function..

I have a script where it was working correctly, but at school i was editing it with a RICH TEXT Editor, and accidently saved it with RICH TEXT meaning that my server just sent it as HTML instead of as server-side code so basically none of the php/mysql worked and everyone can read the code, but when i came home and uploaded my backed up FUNCTIONAL file it still was recognized as HTML and not server side php.. can anybody help me with this?? here is a screen shot..

Did you save the file with a .php suffix?

yeah of course but for some reason it does not work with this certain script EVNE THOUGH yesterday is was working fine... do you think it has to do something with my Site Cache? or the fact that i uploaded it from my school server/ Windows Command Prompt?

Do other .php files work OK? (If not, maybe someone killed the PHP processor on the server and did not restart it.) Have you cleared your browser's cache to make sure you're seeing the latest version? (Usually clicking the refresh button once or twice will take care of that.)

It's a server of my friends and yes php is working and if i change the include() function to a different file it will work, but for some reason it will not work with this FILE anymore... even though it did like two days ago. I have refreshed it several times, and if i make a simple script like echo "hey lolz"; it will work fine, but whenever i include("sample.php"); it will just plain out display the php like in the screenshot i attached. ahh this is so weird, i have never encountered a problem like this.

Does the included PHP file use the deprecated "<?" short tags? If so, change those to the full "<?php" tags.

Otherwise, can you attach the included file that's being displayed? (Note: You'll have to rename it to a .txt file if you do.)

Ahh...I missed the fact that it was the included file that was the problem. I thought you were talking about the main file. It does rather sound like a problem with an incorrect or missing <?php tag in the included file.
