String Replacement

Hi,

I'm completly new to php for warning 🙂 I tried to do some searching on the forum but couldn't find any help on what I'm trying to do. I have an html page with numerous <a href="www.dkdkd.com/dkdkdaldk338484.txt">Click me</a>

I'm trying to use php to search and replace all links with .txt with .prt so all links with .txt would be outputted as <a href="www.dkdkd.com/dkdkdaldk338484.prt">Click me</a>

Can anyone point me in the right direction or any guidance would be great.

You could also use a regular expression approach:

$pattern = '@(<a.+href=["\'].+)\.txt(["\'].*>@siU';
$replace = '$1.prt$2';

$html_data = preg_replace($pattern, $replace, $html_data);
