database Siebel CRM uses?

Hello,

Do you guys know which database Siebel CRM products uses? I have a client that is using Siebel On Demand Marketing, but unfortunately they do not know the technical details. They gave me an ASP script that is collecting data from a form and writing to a table that Siebel is using. It looks like it is connecting to a MS SQL Server database. Do you think it is safe to assume that all Siebel products uses SQL Server?

No. I would guess that they use MS SQL, but it is not safe to assume it. I would try to find out the technical details, that way you might do a little extra work but you know for sure. If you should work with the database you need to know the table names, columns and other stuff, so you need to find out sooner or later anyway.

Hmm... thanks. I'll need to see if I can talk to someone else that works for my client. The person I'm interfacing with now doesn't know much about the Siebel app they're using. I might have to call Siebel/Oracle directly - their website is impossible to find developers info for their CRM.
