Do you mean you're trying to define the SMTP host that PHP attempts to send mail through?
If so, the answer is - maybe, if you know the parameter for the software the server uses to send mail.
If your server is running Windows, a better way to change this would be to use [man]ini_set/man to change the SMTP directive.
Otherwise, you may need to contact your server administrator.
