wvWare

Hi guys,

My host has installed wvWare for me so I can convert .doc files to html on the fly (on a Linux server) but I am finding it difficult to find some documentation on how to use it rather than installing it.

Has anyone used it? Or point me in the direction of user documentation?

You should ask your host to install AbiWord as well. Then you can call the exec() function and use this line:

AbiWord --to=html

You'd have to run AbiWord --help to get the full syntax, but my guess is it's:

AbiWord --to=html /home/username/public_html/file.doc

IMP(the webmail) uses wvWare. Converting to html basicly goes like this:
wvHtml file.doc file.html

Use "wvHtml --help" to get some help with the options.
