PHP Copy & Unzip

Bassicaly im starting a site that offers free forum instalation and hosting, what i need to sort out is the registration form, i have on my server a zip of each forum software PHPBB2/3/SMF i need the registration form to proceed to copy the zip to the specified folder once created and unzip the zip?

is this possible?

okay i've managed to peice together some code that will copy the forum archive from the root server and place it in the newly created directory all i need to sort out now is how to get php to unzip that archive?

i've tried

exec ("unzip $frm");

but it doesnt work?

You could read the PHP manual on zip file functions. Never tried it myself, so I cannot tell you the specifics.

yeah i've tried looking at that it's not making much sense to me, im going to try it another way and im going to unzip the zip's myself into the root then use php to copy the entire directory?

hopefully that will work
