[RESOLVED] How do I make a category list in php?

I have two tables one called categories it has two rows

1. ID

2. NAME

The other table is called layouts it has 16 rows but I only need (for the navigation links.)

1. CATEGORYID

2. TITLE

I have a form that has a drop down that list the the NAME from categories and places the the ID from categories into layouts

Then I've been talking to bpat1434 and he's been helping me, and He's given a script that pulls the categories out of the database, but if they are more than one design in that category it list that category twice. I need it to only display that category once. I don't have my computer with me (I'm staying at my grandparents house) But I still have access to my domain. I can get you the scripts if you need them.

Like I said I've been talking to bpat1434 and he's helped me but, afraid no one else is looking at it.

without knowing much more... it sounds like you could use DISTINCT in your sql query
