[RESOLVED] PHP Mail() and Junk Folders?!

Hi guys,

I've writen a verification thing for my site, when a user joins, and email is sent to them, with a link they have to click to validate their account.

The problem is, the mail seems to be going stright to the junk mail.

I've tried with hotmail and yahoo.

Can someone please post a great email example that works with the free email providers?

Even if it dosnt allow HTML in the email, it would still be great. Im using this right now:

There are many reasons why your mail could be going to the Junk folder. It could be the content, the subject line, or missing headers. Typically general subject lines (like the one you have) are flagged as junk because spammers use them to allure users.

Use a subject line like: [DOMAIN] Registration Verification
Also, make sure the content of the message is meaningful and not junk (like your test message). Use something like:

This is a test message from DOMAIN. If this message did not go into your Junk folder, you should be okay. If this message was in your junk folder, please make sure [e-mail] is not blocked.

Other than that, using a real email address as the FROM field would help (as well as adding a Reply-To header). Of course nothing really replaces using a real SMTP connection class to send an email (www.swiftmailer.org or HTMLMimeMail5)...
