I've been working with PHP for a while now, but recently I started working with Zen Cart and I see this syntax ($var->function) a lot which I am not familiar with. I can't quite tell what it is doing, but I see it everywhere so it must be useful. I figure it is fairly simple, but I just have never seen it before. Can someone explain it. I've searched for the answer but because most search engines seem to ignore -> it is hard to find anything.
