Hi all.
I'm very much a php newbie. I've just developed an ecommerce solution in Flash only to discover that the cross-domain policies stop me just before the finish line. Short of having the payment gateway company put a cross-domain policy file on the server (which I've already requested but am not hopeful about), the only way out is to code a php page that will accept the data from my Flash app (raw post data in xml format), pass it on to the server, receive the response (also in xml format), and relay it back to my Flash app (short version - a php proxy).

Does this sound like a complicated first project? Is anyone willing to offer a little assistance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say it wouldn't be too bad to do this on your own... assuming that your payment gateway had some decent documentation on using their web API.

Other than that, you'd probably be using [man]cURL[/man] to make the request and parse the response with something like [man]SimpleXML[/man].
