recompile PHP

i have INSTALLED php5 and Apache 2.0.61 , and appears i need to recompile PHP, because
Apache is running a threaded MPM but your PHP module is not compiled to be threadsafe
Pre-configuration failed
i have installed PHP5 and Apache 2.0.61

could you help me please?
