mysql help

My host (who is now missing in action) has set up my mysql database at

*##mysql#.secureserver.net

for me, but after months of working fine, I've randomly gotten a load of errors:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user '**'@'####..*#.secureserver.net' (using password: YES) in /home/content/c/o/l/coldwerturkey/html/admin/...

...Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/usr/local/mysql-5.0/data/mysql.sock' (2) in ...

I've been all through google & mysql.com and the only way to fix is to have access to it, I only have access to my one folder in the server, nothing else...

Firstly, is there anyway to fix this without having access to vertualy nothing?

If I cant fix it, how do you go about getting a new mysql data base thats not on your server. (I did download mysql from mysql.com, but was so lost on how it works off of my machine?)

I'm not sure but since no one has answered yet i'll guess so take it as it is 🙂

It sounds like the account is not on the server any more?

Another possible cause is that they upgraded MySql server and it is using a different type of authentication. There is a fix for this but i think it involves editing the my.cnf.

If your host just disc-appears on you then you will want to consider changing hosts. If you can get access to the database, dump it to a back up and start your search.
