generating/sending meeting req

Hello there,

I am trying to find a function/class/script which would enable my intrenet web-app to send a meeting request to fellow colleagues (who use MS-Outlook).

Is there anything around that would make life as easy as sending plain e-mails?

Format is unimportant (icalendar, vcalendar).

I must be missing something, because I'm writing here after hours of searching on the web. I found nothing (for free).
Please help.

What are your coding skills like ? If their not bad you may want too look into [man]mail[/man]. I dont know any stand-alone script which is any good but take a look at hotscripts first if you havent already, OR PEAR.

Still, is it possible nobody ever wanted to send a meeting request via e-mail?
With all those scripts and free code around, is there a function equivalente to mail() I can call to send a meeting request?

If not, then I will have to look into it and build one myself. My coding skills are fine, alhtough I have just started with PHP itself. I am trying to save time.

On some fori, I found a few guys who had asked the same thing, but NOBODY ever explained/replied.

Probably it's jsut a metter of specifying the right headers/mime content and i/vcal fields in the message, but I really would love to get to the point and get on my application!
