Hello, and Merry Christmas!

I have a script that sends email to my database list. I have it set to send HTML email and I get the mail fine (and it looks right) in Outlook. Also my MAC user friend gets his fine in, I think, Eudora.

However, the email never comes in for Yahoo mail users - not even in Bulk or SPAM mail. It just never shows up. I'm concerned about this because so many of my users have either Yahoo or another "free" mail client and they need this email.

I'm wondering if maybe it's in my script but desktop mail clients forgive a mistake or something. Here's my mail line. Does it look correct? Is everything in the right place?

mail($address[2],$subject,$line,"From: $s[from_name] <$s[email]>$html_head\nContent-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1");

Any other ideas of what might cause this if everything above is ok?

Well, for one thing headers should be separated by a CRLF, so unless you've got a very poor MTA, your header is going to be mangled such that it's no wonder any ISP would simply reject the e-mail. Another thing you might consider is adding more headers to make the e-mail look more legit. You can search the board for examples of these (MIME-Version, Reply-To, etc.).

Second, allowing the users to specify the From header can easily cause your message to be marked as spam since you're spoofing the e-mail's domain of origin. A better idea would be to simply use a From address on your server and include the sender's name and address in the body of the message.

Third, what is in the $html_head variable? It might help us if you echo out the header string and paste it for us to visually examine.
